a simple christmas

christmas tree / inspire styling

This year we decided to chop our own Christmas tree. Nothing illegal, the exact opposite actually! Staatsbosbeheer invites people to come to Veluwe National Park and chop some trees. All for the preserve of the sandy dunes in the area. The small pine trees take over the fields if they don’t get removed, so it’s for a good cause! Our good friends Rena & Sam jumped aboard our firevan and we started our little Christmas adventure. A visual dairy, with some iPhone snaps:

Hot chocolate. Always. The best reward after our tree search.

After our drive back home we had a chill afternoon and a lovely pre-Christmas dinner with our friends. Perfect day!

christmas wreath / inspire styling

A simple wreath I made with some eucalyptus, waxflowers and dried flowers from our garden.

Stefan and I had a simple Christmas, as always. We love taking it slow this time of year. Our Christmas usually looks like this: a matrass on the living room floor, piles of pillows & blankets, snacks, wool sweaters, pj’s & warm socks, veggie burgers for dinner, candles, fairy lights and lots of Netflix/movies! Sometimes we come out for air and admire homemade door wreaths in the old centre of Amersfoort. Wouldn’t change this tradition for the world!

Have a wonderful NYE and see you on the other side!

♥ Anne
