I woke up to the most beautiful soft light this week. I put on a chunky vest, made coffee, grabbed my camera and went back to bed. The perfect start of the day: a little shoot, some reading, cat cuddles and a few quiet hours for myself. I’m finally allowing myself to reschedule my work hours and enjoy very slow mornings before my day begins.
I used to be strict and tried to work regular office hours, until it recently hit me: I’m self employed. Who cares when I work? I know, DUH!! It just felt like I needed to proof myself or something. But now I know better. I enjoy the slower times and make the most of it. And I think shooting photos like these count as work, so if anyone asks: I was very productive! (in my PJ’s ;))
And yes, we still have to paint our super ugly yellow window frames. After 10 years. Oops. Also: we might have to look into the damp on the glass. Oh well.. rentals ;)
