When you pick a wedding date like the first of July, you don’t expect for it to be a grey and rainy day. But you can’t predict the weather. 1-7-17 started with a whole lot of rain. But all the rain in the world wouldn’t be a match for Renee&Erik. They planned ahead and arranged for an extra tent. The tents kept everyone nice&dry and the day felt extra cosy because of the raindrops on the canvas. We brought Summer inside by adding a lot of colorful flowers and greenery, so it was a Summer garden wedding after all!
And talk about planning ahead: They booked me 1,5 years before their big day! There wasn’t even a date yet. I know, sounds super early but for me, this is the perfect situation. The less you know, the better. Not because I want to brainwash you and talk you into crazy ideas, but because I design the wedding concept. This is the start for the rest of the plans, it includes pretty much everything. The vibe, the style, ways to incorporate your personality into the day. The concept will be the best guideline you’ll have. It’s a lot easier to make decisions if you know exactly what the vibe of the day will be.
Besides design choices, I can recommend the best venues, photographers, etc, that will match your day perfectly. Saves you a lot of time searching the interwebs too. And when you think about it, vendors are a design choice too! When everything falls together, like a puzzle, you and your guests will feel it. And that feeling.. well, that’s is worth a million.
Back to Renee&Erik, here’s a little impression of what we did for their big day!
The second we started our long drive home, the sun came through! But these cosy picture alone was worth working in the rain all day :)
