Yay!! As you can see, my new website is live! I have been working on this for several weeks now and am so happy I can show it to you today! *confetti for everyone*
My old website just didn’t work for me anymore. It was like an old dress I once loved but now has holes and stains on it. Still pretty, but a little messy and nothing like a new one. So I started thinking about what would work for me. And about what my story is. The last part was surprisingly easy: I want to tell YOUR story! (more about that here)
With the contents covered, all I needed was a pretty cover. On the wall in my workspace, a moodboard started to grow. It started with a stunning photo by Hanke Arkenbout, a gold flyer I found in my archives and a page from a botanical book. A few polaroids and twigs joined in, so did a booklet from Stories by Mabel and the little DIY leather label. BAM! Suddenly it hit me, this isn’t just stuff I like. This is the mood I want to share with you. This is what my brand stands for. Nature, beautiful details, a little adventure, conscious living and personal stories. Enough style inspiration to work with!
I felt the same way about my logo for a while now. Another stained dress. This time I decided not to try something myself and hire a professional. Best decision ever! Besides being the friendliest designer in the world, Milou (Mevrouw Knot) did an amazing job and created a perfect logo for me. One that looks like a shiny new dress and fits like a glove!
